Our Vision
Empowering the Next Generation of Global Health Leaders
GHSEN is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of global health leaders committed to advancing healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa. Our culturally informed approach emphasizes meaningful partnerships, mutual respect, and a deep understanding of the local context. Through this framework:
U.S. and African researchers collaborate on GHSEN-led projects.
Research fellows receive mentorship from U.S. global health experts.
Policy recommendations are guided by the unique needs and contexts of local African communities in Tanzania, Congo, Ethiopia, and more.
Research initiatives are supported and shaped by local African health leaders across ministries of health and academic institutions.
To date, 22 U.S. research fellows have submitted their work for publication, reflecting our commitment to impactful, collaborative scholarship.
Collaboration is at the Heart of our Work
