Blen Yohannes | Director of Global Service - U.S.-Ethiopia
Blen Yohannes is a Health Science student at Northeastern University with a strong focus on global health, maternal health, and equity in healthcare access. She has over a year of research experience studying megakaryocytes, vascular biology, and platelet formation at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Beyond the lab, Blen serves as President of Northeastern’s College of Science Student Diversity Advisory Council (CoSSDAC) and is a co-director of undergraduate efforts for Harvard Medical School’s Africa Health Conference. She is passionate about advancing health initiatives across Africa and has worked closely with public health leaders, both in the U.S. and Ethiopia, to explore sustainable strategies for strengthening maternal health systems.
Blen aspires to pursue a career in medicine and global health, with the goal of expanding access to care in low-resourced communities and countries.
