Yohana Fasel is a dental student at Harvard School of Dental Medicine interested in specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Her research interests focus on health systems and policies related to oral health access and disparities, trauma and trauma prevention, and increasing the representation of women and minorities in surgery. Raised in a fully French-speaking education system, Yohana completed her schooling entirely in French before transitioning to an English-speaking undergrad. This bilingual background gives her a unique perspective on global health and health systems research, allowing her to navigate diverse healthcare landscapes and contribute to surgical care on an international scale. Yohana serves as Director of Public Relations for GHSEN, where she helps coordinate social media outreach. When she’s not immersed in all things surgery and dentistry, you can probably find her at Solidcore, in the gym, or catching up on the latest soccer updates.
