Yuliyan is a Health Sciences undergraduate student at The Ohio State University, passionate about healthcare accessibility and global health equity. Trilingual in Amharic, English, and French, she leverages her diverse linguistic and cultural background to engage with international healthcare challenges and underserved communities. She has gained diverse experiences in healthcare, education, and community development through hospital work, volunteering in digital literacy programs for seniors, and mentoring youth from immigrant backgrounds. Yuliyan has also volunteered and worked with the United Nations to promote economic sustainability initiatives. Drawing from her upbringing in Ethiopia, she is committed to driving positive change in global development. When she’s not immersed in healthcare initiatives, you can find her watching college football (Go Buckeyes!), writing, or playing tennis.
